May 5 — Perimenopause & Menopause
With Dr. Desiree Caruso, Naturopathic Physician
Perimenopause and menopause can bring significant physical, emotional, and hormonal changes. Hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes, brain fog, cycle irregularity, shifts in energy, and changes in body composition are all common experiences, yet many people move through this stage feeling dismissed or under-informed.
In this session, Dr. Desiree Caruso will unpack the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause, explain why your symptoms are valid, and share natural tools that may help you feel more like yourself again.
Dr. Caruso is a licensed naturopathic physician in British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of the Fraser Valley while co-captaining the women’s soccer team, then continued her medical studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Boucher campus. Her practice is patient-centred, individualized, evidence-based, and rooted in ongoing education. While she has a special interest in chronic pain and sports medicine, she also maintains a general practice focused on helping patients achieve the health and wellbeing they desire.
This class is for anyone entering, moving through, or wanting to better understand the menopause transition.
