FAQS
Which Class is Right for Me?
Live Yoga is a multi-style studio with very relaxing and slow classes (Restorative, Gentle, and Yin), well-rounded classes for everyone (Hatha), or more challenging classes (Flow, Core Connection). Please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop in, and one of our certified knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to assist you in choosing the right class.
We suggest starting with Beginners Yoga to learn all the basic poses and techniques. Can't attend a Beginners Course? No problem! We welcome beginners to our drop-in classes all the time! See you in the studio!
Can I practice yoga with a (minor) injury?
We recommend doctors or physiotherapists clearance for yoga and movement before attending classes. Some classes like flow or core connection are too vigorous and demanding for students with injuries. We always suggest starting out with Hatha, Gentle or Hips and Back for a slower yoga experience when coming back from an injury.
Am I too old for yoga?
We have students in our classes from 16 – 85yrs old and believe yoga can be a healing experience for all ages. If you can tie your shoes it is likely we have a class for you! Send us an email to find the perfect yoga class!
What do I need to bring?
For classes just bring yourself, comfortable clothing, some water and your smile. Many students bring their own yoga mat, and we have a large selection of high-quality yoga mats for sale if you need to purchase one. We also have yoga mats to borrow if you forget your own. Live Yoga has all props including blocks, bolsters, and straps for you to enjoy your yoga classes.
