A carefully sequenced series of restorative yoga postures will help students to open the chest, front pelvis, and thighs, in preparation for simply guided breathing techniques. This class is a great introduction to relaxation and breathing as well as a chance to revisit the fundamental practices of breathing calmly (pranayama).
Students can expect to learn about the value of settling their breath through straightforward breathing techniques taught in a comfortable supine position. Pranayama is a wonderful tool to access meditative states and allow the parasympathetic nervous system to help calm the body and mind. In other words, you will feel relaxed, and gain some tools to alleviate stress, anxiety, and nervousness.
